These 50' gondolas with fishbelly sides and drop ends are black with yellow lettering and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1945 for Western Pacific, these cars were rebuilt and renumbered in the early 1960s for steel bar service. Under contract with US Steel, they remained in the steel industry through the end of their revenue lives in the 1980s.
